How I Make My Cold Brew

You know how sometimes you’re searching for a recipe, and you find what you’re looking for… but first the author has to tell you a 850 word story about the last time they made the recipe, and how much everyone liked it?

Well, this isn’t that. You’re welcome.

I like my cold brew concentrate a little stronger, over ice, so if that’s what you’re looking for, read on!

1. Mix

1 to 1.5 cups coarse coffee grounds.

4 cups filtered water.

2. Store at room temperature

For 12 hours.

3. Move it to the fridge

For 12 more hours.

4. Put it back in the fridge

For 12 more hours.

Yes. You counted right. That’s 36 hours of brew time.

5. Strain

Use nylon cheesecloth or even double filter with paper.

6. Serve

Over ice.

Bourbon optional.

7. Store Excess

Make sure to make plenty so that you don’t have to repeat the process every two days!
